Technical expertise: raising industry standards with staff training and development
Our product and service delivery standards are very high. Therefore we’re committed to ensuring:• our staff members have the most up-to-date training to ensure these standards are met and exceeded
• a quality, safe and healthy work environment for all our employees
One simply does not succeed without the other. We employ in excess of 120 plant staff for:
• sorting and washing
• processing and finishing
• theatre pre-pack including sterilisation
• dry cleaning
• dispatch
• maintenance
• supervision and training
Staff members are rotated hourly during their shifts to lessen repetitive action and to increase multi-skilling and work-place satisfaction.
Operational staff members are currently enrolled in, or have completed specialised training for nationally accredited qualifications in:
• Health Service Assistance, Sterilising Services, Certificate III from Mayfield Education Centre
• Health, Sterilising Practice for Technicians, Certificate III from Mayfield Education Centre
• Sterilisation in Technology, Certificate II from Box Hill Institute
• Laundry Operations (traineeship), Certificate II from RMIT School of Fashion & Textiles
• Laundry Operations (apprenticeship), Certificate III from RMIT School of Fashion & Textiles
• Dry Cleaning Operations (apprenticeship), Certificate III from RMIT School of Fashion & Textiles
Mandatory fire and emergency, manual-handling and hand-washing courses are also conducted on a regular basis.
In addition, business management courses are offered on an ongoing basis to ensure effective succession planning.
All employees have access to free vaccinations against Hepatitis B, C and influenza from our staff clinic.
